Fraser & Fraser has been handling intestate estates in one form or another since 1923 and is one of the world’s most respected probate research firms. As a Partnership, each Partner is personally liable for the actions of the company. As a result, the firm is committed to pursue each claim from its outset to final distribution, and where necessary each Partner contributes his particular area of expertise to the full resolution of each case. We are the only probate research firm in the UK to have both a solicitor and a chartered surveyor inhouse, ensuring that the administration of an estate will happen quickly, efficiently and at full market value, where applicable.

Fraser & Fraser is independently audited twice a year for continuing compliance with international standards of Quality Management and has been awarded the ISO 9001 certification. As one of only two firms of genealogists in the UK to be assessed by external auditors to this standard, the accreditation guarantees that the highest level of professionalism permeates through into every level of Fraser & Fraser’s research and administration processes. Dealing with sensitive and confidential material on a daily basis, Fraser & Fraser is again one of only two firms to have chosen to be monitored independently to international ISO 27001 standards of Information Security, so clients can rest assured that their details are registered with the Data Protection Registrar and undertake not to use or sell any information we hold, except for the reason for which the information is obtained. You can rest assured that we treat all information we receive as confidential.

With the most members of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives) of any probate research firm in the UK, as well as having members of STEP (Society for Trusts and Estate Practitioners), APG (Association of Professional Genealogists) and the Law Society's Client Section, Fraser & Fraser's service is up-to-date with all developments in the probate field which are immediately incorporated into our working practices.
